History

For decades, our brands have been actively engaged in charitable activities, both locally and globally. Our brands are inspiring, inclusive and powerful, and are therefore able to carry out meaningful philanthropic work. 

In 2011, the Boardriders Foundation (formerly the Quiksilver Foundation) was established to bring all of our company’s charitable initiatives under one umbrella, regardless of channel, department or brand. In 2025, the Foundation was deregistered and transitioned into a dedicated division of our corporate business known as Boardriders Community.

Mission

Boardriders Community is the charitable division of Boardriders South Pacific, committed to enhancing the quality of life across boardrider communities by supporting environmental, educational, health and youth-focused initiatives.

Our Pillars

We work to design and manufacture the world’s finest products for boardriders while continuing to reduce our environmental impact through more sustainable materials and processes. This commitment extends beyond our products through active support of environmental restoration programs, the protection of wildlife habitats, and the empowerment of the next generation of ocean advocates. 

At Boardriders, our mission is to uplift communities, create meaningful opportunities, and change lives through the power of support, connection, and the ocean. We are committed to restoring dignity for people experiencing hardship, empowering young people through education and work experience, and improving well-being through surf-based therapeutic programs.
